Booloumba Falls 7th June 2026

Since our major trip was postponed till next year, we decided needed a bit of a run to get out of town and onto some dirt and use up a bit of the stale fuel we were hording in our tanks. It was obviously a shared view as we had 7 club vehicles and 1 visitor vehicle meet at Yowie Park Kilcoy for a run to Booloumba Falls. We headed north along the Kilcoy-Murgon Road for a short stop at Jimna then headed onto Sunday Creek road. The weather was a bit overcast but the road was dry and in good condition.

The drive along Sunday Creek road is through Conondale National Park – a very scenic drive.
After a quick stop at the lookout we headed into Charlie Morelands campground for a picnic lunch. It was great to sit and catch up.

After lunch we backtracked to the Booloumba Falls track and headed up to the falls. The walk from the carpark to the falls was about 1500m but the walking track was nice and smooth.

The kids, and a couple of the much older kids climbed onto the rocks above the swimming hole. While we didn’t let the kids into the water this trip, Chelsea has put in a request for another visit around her birthday in December when the water is warmer. We were back out on the bitumen heading home not long after 3:30pm.
A great day out for a big proportion of the club. Thanks to everyone who came – it was great to catch up.
