Booloumba Falls 7th June 2026

Post by GridPack »

It's about time to use up some of that stale fuel stashed in our long-range tanks since our major trip this year had to be postponed due to the fuel crisis.
So depending upon the weather forecast for Sunday 7th June I'm planning to do a run from Kilcoy to the Booloumba Falls via Sunday Creek Road. This is a nice easy run that will take us along gravel roads to Charlie Moreland Campground for lunch then a little back tracking to the Booloumba Falls turnoff. There is a carpark about a 20min walk from the Falls - I'm relying on memory here! There is a nice waterhole at the top of the falls for anyone brave enough to jump into the water in June.
We'll run through a couple of easy creek crossings on the way out to the bitumen.
It has been a while since we have been up in that area, and it will be interesting to see if anything has changed.
